Parent Booster Meeting - 12/14
Hi all,
We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season! As we being to prepare for this year's Ultimate season, we have been mulling over the idea of a parent "booster" club. In the past, we have had great support from a number of you, but we thought it made sense to have a dedicated group moving forward to ease with volunteering, fundraising, and team event coordination, etc. This would greatly help the coaches focus on coaching duties and activities.
If you are interested in helping, please send us an email to avhsultimate@gmail.com, and join us on Wednesday, December 14, at AVHS Room 188 (near lunch room) from 7-8 PM. This meeting will just be coaches and parents willing to help and will be separate from our normal season kick-off meeting with players in February.
Again, thanks for all that you do to help support your kids and Ultimate at AVHS!

YCC This Summer!
This Summer, MN Ultimate will be providing several playing opportunities to youth of all ages and experience levels.
Registration for Summer League and YCC is open now at this link.
Summer League is played Monday nights at the National Sports Center in Blaine, beginning June 13th and finishing August 8th. The league is an all inclusive and open enrolled event that places participants into several mixed teams. The league has both a U19 division and U16 division to better accommodate skill levels. These teams have weekly match ups over the course of the Summer & culminate into a Summer League championship game. The league is open to all levels of experience and is the sanctioned Youth Club League that makes up the YCC rosters.
Youth Club Championships (YCC) brings the best U16 and U19 ultimate clubs in the nation to Minnesota for one National Championship event. The tournament is an annual event, taking place each summer in August with over 70 teams and 1300 athletes over three days.
Divisions include U19 Open, U19 Girls, U19 Mixed, U16 Open, and U16 Girls. Minnesota Ultimate fields at least one team in each division every summer. Minnesota YCC goes by the team name Superior. The team name has been around for many years and resembles not only the state's obvious connection to the Great Lake that goes by the same name, but also speaks to the program's commitment to superior character, spirit, quality of play, coaching, and leadership.
Thursday, June 9th 6:30-8:30pm at West Minnehaha Recreation Center - U19 Only.
Tuesday, June 14th 6:30-8:30pm at West Minnehaha Recreation Center

State Tournament: THIS WEEKEND
Hard to believe, but State is this weekend!
1700 105th Ave NE
Blaine, MN 55449
Saturday, June 4 Field Map
Sunday, June 5 Field Map
Boys Schedule
- All Games to 13, Point Cap at 15
- Hard Cap at 90 mins
- One Timeout per half + Floater
We have worked through this before, and it is completely up to the students and their parents to determine their availability for the weekend. It's a big weekend for seniors and their family, so we will be fine with whatever you decide. The silver lining this year, is that there are no games scheduled on Saturday afternoon, so if seniors can play the games Saturday morning and have plenty of time to get back for graduation activities. For the all-night-party at AVHS--again, it's up to parents and their students. If you decide you want to leave early, please work with the appropriate administration and get it approved. If your senior will be staying all night, that is okay too. We've had players stay the whole night, take a power nap when they get home, and then come up and play when they can. The bottom line is, let your coaches know your plans.
