We're almost there! A few things as we get closer:
- You can now add your roster to the Goeke Memorial on the USA Ultimate events page. Every team needs to do this, and ensure their players are up to date with waivers, membership, and rostering. If you are playing in the MNYU high school league or were just at Hopkins Hustle, this should be a painless process.
- We have 3 divisions at the tournament this year, Open Div. I and II, and for the first time ever, a Girls division! In total, 32 teams will be playing over 10 fields! To accommodate this (and a number of prom requests we had), the tournament will have divisions stagger play throughout the day, starting with Div. I at 8:30, then Girls late morning, then Div II starting early afternoon. You can expect Div. I to be done by 2:30, with Div. II and Girls wrapping up closer to 5:00. A final schedule will be released in the next day or so.
- There will be team food, along with concessions including coffee in the morning and hot dogs, walking tacos and more during lunch. There is, of course, water out at the fields.
- Each division champion receives a hand-carved disc to take home in victory. In addition, teams will be voting after every game to nominate a player as the team's MVP. Each team's MVP will get a chance at some swag at the end of the tournament. If your team is donating a jersey, shorts, or other items as part of your team fees, bring them to tournament central upon arrival.
- Standard weather disclaimer: should the weather become a factor, we may need to alter or cancel the tournament altogether. If this happens, we will be giving partial refunds back.
